cherokeecrawler 03-08-2009, 06:13 PM Im installing the 8.8 in my cherokee and installing a sye kit also with a front cherokee cv driveshaft. From the diff cover on my 8.25 to the yoke shaft its 13 1/4" and the 8.8 is 15 3/4" that means the driveshaft should be plenty long. The 8.8 is probably the MOST popular rear axle swap for XJ's, TJ's, YJ's etc. Its a great axle, easy, and cheap to do.
