The HERE on here

SORV Beadlocks
We are proud to announce that we are in production of our new Unimog bolt pattern Beadlocks. Due to the lousy availability of 20" tires we have postponed production of the 20" Beadlock.
We decided to build custom 16.5" X 12" wide wheels with the stock Unimog bolt pattern and have sourced out the beadlock ring. This wheel will offer numerous tire options such as Interco's Super Swamper and Boggers. Look for the new wheels on the SORV rigs as well as Mitchell Matzeks' orange 404.

We will be offering Beadlock and Interco tire packages shortly.

Regards, Denise Hyland

on my TJ I ran 8.5" rims.. and ran as low as 10-8psi with 35x12.5 tires with out ever loosing a bead ... yeah.. I wheel too. The magic I had been told was the 8.5 rim size helps prevent bead loss. 10" rims and I woulda had a much bigger chance of losing them and would need bead locks.

What about Mogs? .. Anyone got any idea what is that magic rim size in 16.5" rims with the weight of a mog?

I wonder if he will be selling his rim in a non bead lock version?

Can't you cut out a hummer beadlock and weld in a disk with the mog pattern too? Unless these beadlocks are pretty cheap, I think that would be the way to go. :D

Sounds good to me? What size are hummer rims? I know, I know.. I should know that.. but I dont? Would the run flats still work if ur use a differnt center on the Hummer rim. I would think so.

What other little tricks come with or can come with a hummer rim? Again. something I should know but I have not followed the hummer rim threads cause till now... it was a low priority of info to stuff in my over stuffed head.

Hummer Rims are about 16.5 x 10 or so.

You can cut the inner section out and have a new set welded in. however I am not aware of anyone that does this with the mog bolt pattern.. Of course that does not mean that it cannot be done or is not being done..

Cutting the inner out and welding in another unit would do nothing to the runflat/beadlock. Be they mag or rubber.

Good idea if you can find someone to do it for you.

Personally I like the rims that were designed with the mog in mind.

rims look nice, but $500 per wheel seems pricey

And you still have the heat producing and hub destroing Unimog drum brakes. (geared hub is inside the brake drum)

Take the disc brake conversion. It comes with the 8 lug conversion. You can use the hummer rims with run flat and bead loc for a reasonable price and your hub runs cool too.
