Did the guy in this pic break anything when he came down? It looks as if the front diff was headed for impending doom. I want to see the follow-up pics to this one.

No, Chris Durham didn't break anything when he came down.

Look for a post in this forum entitled "cmk's prorocks pics" and you'll see all the follow up pics.

check out the suburban white guys site thay have a download called the Chris Durham's freak show worth the time it takes to download that is for sure. I have not ever met him but I think it is safe to say he is not afraid of the go pedal.

How did he get on the front page without a pirate4x4.com sticker.:p

That is pretty nutty. It was a good idea to put "it's real" on the pointer. I was about to start looking for the photo chop.

I need to get out to one of these events. It looks like quite a show.:D

Ive seen him break three times.. twice on courses i was the offical for.. and the other was one i was watching. one was a rear u joint.. the other was the studs for his wheel spacer on the front, along with a bent tierod.

the other was a busted front axle shaft.. inner and outer,

Chris is not afraid of the Go pedal that is for damn sure.

I got Video of him at Cal Rocs in Jackson last year. He would start out like a normal "Crawler" and then it was like someone flipped a switch and GOOOOOOOOOOOO was all he gave it. Great show, crazy bastard!!

Anybody know what drivetrain he is running?? Everytime I see him I am too busy running away from him to actually pay attention to what is under the rig. :D

That pic looks so chopped. No doubt, that's his style of driving. I've got pics like that of several people. But that one looks chopped! It's a conspiricy!

I swear on my great grandmother's grave that that pic is not a chop. It couldn't be more authentic.

Trust me.. that pic is the real deal. In fact, he had one that was worse later in the day, but nobody was daring enough to get close enough to capture it.

I believe shortly after that shot was taken, he ended up on his lid.

(i was standing beside you) yes he did end up on the lid..... that hood is garbage now :(

Chris is actually an Associate member of the Pirates of the Rubicon. We put stickers on his rig last year because he drives like most of our club:D He was more than happy to accept the nomination. As for the stickers .................thats a new skin and bodywork so the stickers are gone, Lance will have to send em a new set;)

While he ended up on his lid, it wasn't from the escapade shown in the pic. He rolled while off camber about 15' further into the series of obstacles.

I know the axles are tera 60's... With what shafts I don't know???

Anybody know who makes his shafts???

Either way I think he would be the perfect poster child for 60's, he sure does beat'em!

If you order the free Tera 60R video from their site, Chris is all over it. He's already the poster child for Tera's 60R.

Actually, he is the poster child for T60's, LOL. Haven't you seen the commercial on the RCAA videos?

"If they can hold up to me, they can hold up to anybody.":D

At the Finals last year(I wasn't there, I have the video), he broke a front driveshaft u-joint on what looked to me like the most difficult obstacle, swapped in a spare driveshaft, and finished the obstacle before timing out:eek:

He did the same thing with a rear drive shaft at an ERoCC event we had.

The guy wheels HARD. Bryan Hamilton wheels his pretty hard as well. Bryan's gas pedal isn't really a throttle but a switch... OFF and CRAZY ASS ON are about all his does.

What's even wilder about that picture is, according to cmk who took the pic, he was higher off the ground and all 4 tires were in the air, but the camera took the shot a little late.

Yep, it was crazy.

He was also the only guy to make the 3rd to last obstacle that day. Everyone else kept hitting the same cone. Chris was about 4 feet in the air when he passed the gate that kept getting everyone else

A little birdie told me that cmk is working on a new camera with a 3 frame per second burst mode that can capture up to 8 frames at a time, at a much higher resolution than anything I can currently shoot.

Next time I'm gettin' THE shot.
