rkcrawl 08-28-2002, 12:54 PM Looks sweet Paul.
UGET IT 08-28-2002, 12:56 PM Poor little Jeep!:flipoff2:
Keith Strong 08-28-2002, 01:18 PM Looks good Paul. Q???, why not a cage in back? Just not worried about it or is there a reason?
Looks good. I dig the rocker pannel work.
Rudezuk 08-28-2002, 01:28 PM Nice work!!!
nasvik 08-28-2002, 01:29 PM All, thanks.
cmk - yeah right. :flipoff2:
Kevin - Whatever dude.... :flipoff2:
Scout Dude - No problems yet. Considered bringing the tie rod all the way up and tying the drag link into it (and the TRE) but didn't like the way the geometry would work. Would have made it harder to mount the ram too.
Keith - No need. Clearance. Weight. Looks. And.... still don't know what I want to do to the back of the Jeep so wanted to keep it simple.
Paul

kodak 08-28-2002, 03:53 PM that's some serious Hackin. I like the A pilar flaired out of the dash. beter visability with it tucked close to the window frame and The fenders are solid.
Was it scetched out on paper or did you have the idea in your head and just designed it as you went along?
nasvik 08-28-2002, 04:23 PM In my head, Dan, with an occasional sketch for clarity. Been thinking about it for over a year now....
Paul
CHOKEu 08-28-2002, 04:24 PM Ahhhh, the tubing FERRY or is that FAIRY came to visit the purple Jeep?

when are you gonna test it :D
kwrangln 08-28-2002, 06:03 PM Any worries of stress crackin stuff now that part of the body is welded to the frame and part is suspended by the mounts? Or did you do away with the rest of the mounts too? Has to be some flex room in there somewhere. Looks kick ass tho.

nasvik 08-28-2002, 07:30 PM Matt - that's because it ()#$%@($# rained here the night I brought home. Oh well.... Hammerite doesn't care. :D
zukipuke - Nice work! Looks clean. And straight. :D My doors are only an inch up, but most of that is from the tube dimensions. Make sure you test the doors before welding the sheetmetal down - I needed a highlift to jack the tub into position. And thanks - I'll keep the mag light brackets. :flipoff2:
