I'd like to set up full hydro steering using my stock toyota pump. I'd like about 4-5 turns lock to lock. Anybody running such a set up with their stock toy pump. I need to run a 10 stroke with 2 inch bore ram. Anyone got part numbers for such a set up? Thanks

Dude,
Do the math. Find the volume of your ram in cubic inches. (PII x r squared x stroke) Then divide that number by the number of turns lock to lock that you desire. That number will equal the displacement per revolution of the steering valve you want. Call Surplus Center 402-474-5167 (or supplier of choice) and ask for a steering valve with that displacement per revolution. You will probably have to compromise here.
Your stock pump SHOULD be able to provide the volume and pressure necessary. :flipoff2:

is this for rockwell axels, we use 8 inch stroke cylinders for 2.5 ton axels, 10 inches would break off the stop bolts , unless you have made longer steering arms, and if so you should gain enough mechanical advantage, that you could use a smaller cylinder.
anyway call troy meyers at badlands, he has some really cool double ended ram cylinders, danfaus orbital valves, and anti kickback plates, and steering column adapters. he has great deals on the stuff, and should be able to tell you how many turn lock to lock.
