Stopped by the fun store today and figured I'd grab some primers should I ever get into actually reloading I'd have some stock. As I figured the primer counter was mostly empty, but there were a few boxes left. I asked for a large box (should have been 10 trays) and the guy says "You can have three". :Scuzeme?:  They were limiting the purchase of primers to 3 flats (250ea) per customer per day. All they had left was Magnum Rifle and some large pistol. The guy said people were calling trying to buy 50,000 rounds of ammo at a clip. They were out of .380 everything except on the range and that was only FMJ.

147grn .308 was $499 a case. :(

Thats how my local shop has been for awhile.

$6.99 for a box of Wolf 7.62x39.
$189 for a cricket .22LR rifle.
$1000 dollar AK.
$1,399 for a DPMS 16" flat top.

Overpriced crap to boot.

Damn. :(

I'm glad I bought my 25K of Small Pistol primers when I did. I haven't seen them in stock, even at the major online reloading houses, recently.

Primers have been tight in some places for well over a year.
I remember guys in the cowboy club having trouble finding large quantities.
I usually buy 3000 to 5000 at a time. I call and only order if they are in stock.
I should be pretty good on primers for the next year.

PMC 223 was ~$8.29 a box, 308 is running $25+ a box. .500 S&W Mag used to be $40 per 20 rounds is now $60. Unbelievable. Gun prices seemed to be about on par with that they usually were there, though I didn't check too closely lest I have to cry.
