I am thinking about running an automatic trannsmission in my next project (jeep hybrid 5.0, 60's front and back) I have a rebuilt c4 with very little miles on it and a 1989 f-350. I haven't check to see what tranny is in the truck, so I was wondering if anyone here knew what ford put in them? Would the C4 be strong enough?

Hmmm, more then likly the F-350 has the bigger C-6 tranny but will also have the bellhousing to bolt to a big block and they have the one peice bell housing and wont bolt to the small block. So if you have a C-4 with low miles I say use that one they are a pretty good tranny.

I forgot the f-350 has a 5.8 so the bellhousing is the same.
