This tickled me -- I've been invited to a SUWA gala!

I figured I'd invite my friends as well. :p It sure would be great to show up and eat their grub, but that's awful far for me to drive. Ah, you mean they'll spend one of their 'limited spaces' on ME and I might not make it there? They might buy dinner and NOT get $75 for my spot at the table?

Even better. Think I'll RSVP my whole family, if they don't require me to pay in advance.

Protesting any way I can... :D

Great minds think alike.... :D

Did you get a chance to research pre-payment issues? Can we pay when we (don't) get there?

:D Dangit, Brad, I was trying to get THEM to spring for it. Tell ya what -- send me your address and I'll air freight you some granola just to make up for it. :flipoff2: :D :flipoff2:

I called, and they are unfortunately requiring pre-payment. :(
You can do it online: https://www.xmission.com/~suwa/rsvp_form.php?entry_id=98
...but THAT ain't gonna happen. :(

Damn shame, too, it would have been fun to have hundreds of four-wheelers NOT attending from across the land, and the organizers looking at each other wondering where their guests were.

Oh shit! I never read thru this thing before because it made me want to puke, but I finally read the whole thing. There is a special slide presentation by Jack Dykinga, he's my parent's next door neighbor in Tucson, world famous nature photog. I've never met the guy though, every time I'm in Tucson he seems to be unavailable. I keep telling my parents to tell him that next time he's up this way I'll take him wheeling.:flipoff2:
