looking for a good place to buy 1/8"-1/4" plate steel. either a scrap yard where the metal isn't too rusted out (possibly kept indoors? don't know if that's unheard of...) or relatively cheap. if i can buy by the square foot, even better.

i'll check out anywhere in the BHAM area, Auburn, or montgomery.

Have you checked out Sabel Steel in Montgomery and I think there is one in Hoover. And there is a place in Opelika but I can't remember the name of it.

Oneal Steel in Birmingham has a drop yard. they sell it by the pound. steel prices are down some right now so it should be reasonable.

went to O'neal and bought $40 in scrap and $250 in new stock.

FYI, they have $.45 a pound scrap prices. nice.

heheh. wouldn't you like to know. :flipoff2:

selling my slider for an improved design i thought of. finishing my current rear bumper, selling that, then making myself a different design rear bumper and hopefully producing those along with the sliders.

hopefully i'll be busy the next few saturdays.:grinpimp:
