I'm putting mine under the hood behind the passenger headlight so the local teens can't mess around with it too much.

I still think they're gonna spool my cable out, maybe if I cinch it up a bit on the shackle they won't be able to shift it to freewheeling.

On my Toy truck I had it under the hood between battery and
radiator shroud. Made it more secure and a cleaner front end.
Now mounted on the side of my tube chassis.
