i just purchased an 85 4runner that wasnt being driven for over a year. after driving it for a few days i noticed a squeak. it only happens when i drive forward. in reverse there is no noise. I NEED HELP LET ME KNOW PLEASE!!! this sound is FKN IRRITATING!!!

Very descriptive. Try to figure out a little more. How about... "it sounds like it is from the rear end"

X2. does it go away with the hubs locked in? can the ujoints be greesed?

x3, does it stop if brakes are applied? does road speed affect noise?
make noise in 2 & 4 wheel drive?

check blinker fluid
x2, and Jupiter ring alignment, lube muffler bearings.

theres a small japanese mouse under the hood (some call him "22r ) he can back up ok but when running forward at speed he squeaks in agony.
Its a common problem. answer 350.:D

drivers side wheel bearing...thanks for the stupid ass replys. removed stock 85 and replaced with '86 rear axel. set up both thirds with 4:88s and lockrite up front, welded and plated rear. longfield 30's and chromoly hub gears are on their way to hawaii.....
