i went in november and most trails had been graded. 93A is decently difficult if you don't have lockers and stronger axles. i've seen that trail claim axles and ring gears. i can't wait for it to reopen!

Open! There are some BAD hill climbs.

Beasley Knob is a good time. There are some great hill climbs that can be VERY nasty if it's wet outside. Many of the trails there can be ran with a slightly modified vehicle and some of them can't.

when i was there last year you could still camp (i believe there are campsites there)...... my first trip there i had 33's on my tacoma and had no problems what so ever on the trails i ran.

last time I was there was around 4 years ago. Talk about some NASTY hill climbs, dry or wet.....Tire size really didnt seem to matter, saw guys running 33s all the way to 44s. The key was locked, low COG and strong axles and gears.

We ride beasley a good bit since it is only 15min from our shop. Overall the trails are very easy. There are a few ok climbs, and two very hard climbs. I dont think anyone had climed them as of last fall all year.

There are a couple of areas that could have some very goo climbs and rock gardens if the FS would open them up.

Thanks for the pics!!:smokin: This is going to be the rigs mayden voyage so I was a little nervous after reading that everything was hard to very hard. that looks pretty mild except the last two hills you posted.

That right. Everything is very easy except two hills that both have bypasses. If you will pm me I will give you my number and we might can come up and show you around or at least you will have it if you need anything.

I know I'm bringing up an old thread but I thought this would be the best place to ask... I've been checking the Forestry Service website and it keeps telling me that Beasley Knob is closed? I just tried calling the Blue Ridge District office but I didn't realize they close at 4:30pm sooo, if any one can shine some light on this subject that would be great!

I'm over in Marble, NC and since Tellico is closed Beasley Knob is the closest wheelin' spot for me. I've heard they close it temporarily when it's been raining alot but don't know if that's the case in this instance.

And here's the office info in case someone is looking:

Yep, you're right. The FS closes this trail system when it rains. I checked a couple weeks ago and the website did show that it was open but with all the recent rain that we've been having, obviously, they closed it again.

Keep checking.
