Is someone using 3/4 elliptic on front leaf packs? How they work? How strong is pinion diving when going uphill?

i thought about doing this a while back... theres just too many negatives for a few extra inches of flex. i came to same conclusion about them in the rear as well. but..... some company makes 3/4 ellip kit or the front of jeeps. so they are out there.

I have a buddy with YJ springs and a 2ft long 3/4 elliptic and man it flexes (mudlite, you know who i mean) While were at it, an 'aquaintance' of mine runs a yj with dana60's front and rear with a shackle reversal and 3/4 leaf from M.O.R.E. the buggy leaf itself isnt that long and from what ive seen on the trail, wouldnt give you a dime for that kit. :flipoff2:

Fluffy has 3/4 in the rear and missing links up front.
I thought we were talking about 3/4 eliptic up front?

I wouldn't personally go with buggy leafs up front. I love them in the rear though. I have been running 21" 3/4 eliptic rear for around 6 years now and will not change. It has been problem free from day one. It ramps 1100+ on a 30 degree and is very ballanced with my front coils.
