Does anyone have any info on this? It looks like a good setup for the price, and is rated to a 35" tire, up to 200 lbs, so 36's shouldn't be a problem. It mounts to the body, but there are sandwich plates for the inside and it mounts to the tailgate too, so I'm assuming it'll be very strong. I'm most interested in the price, which is around $230, which sure beats the $500 most carriers are running. The only thing I'm wondering about is how in the heck you open the gate with the tire offset to the left a little like that. Seems like a tight squeeze. Here's some info I found, but if anyone else has seen one and can tell me more, I'm listening <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">
New for SEMA, Bestop has a new award winning tire carrier for those that want to carry a larger tire on the Wrangler without losing the convenience of the one latch opening of the rear tail gate! This well thought out product is great for the Wrangler owner that wants to carry a larger tire on the back of their Jeep. It bolts to the right body corner and includes inside backup plates for strength. The door end of the rack swings with the tailgate to maintain easy operation and entry into the back of the jeep
