I tryed searching and really havent found what I am looking for I dont know much about rangers I am just helping a buddy out.
I was wondering if the manual tranny in 1999 will hold up if not what should he use? What t-case?
We have a 14bolt rear we are going to put under it with 63" chevy leafs and we are working on getting a 60 for the front any builds could help and or anyy input.
Thanks

the tranny should hold up as well as any other ranger trans..
do a search and you'll see many cool builds on here that are rangers/b2's and explorers..
also try
www.therangerstation.com
www.rrorc.com (there are a FEW builds on there)
http://www.explorerforum.com/ (good builds here!!)

Yeah, no problem on the tranny.
As for the t-case, I've seen a few chain problems in the '98up cases. What exactly is different internally from the '97 down ones I'm not sure, but the earlier cases will bolt right in if there's an issue. They also have a different (normal 1310) front output, might actually be a better case for hooking up the driveshaft with the D60.
Gearing the axles appropriately for your tire size can help reduce any chance of having an issue (I'd use 5.38 for 38"+ tires).
Hope that helps
