Probably a Dana 50.

Negative it IS a 60, 350's came with 60's in the front in 04. If you aren't sure look up the BOM tag:smokin:

the tag is missing. can i find some other marking on the axle? its still in the truck now so i havent scraped off all the grime yet.

it is a dana 60 the 350's had the 60's and the 250's had the straight 50 . look on the diff it should be stamped 60 or get the vin and call a ford dealership.

Pretty sure they all had 60s in '04 (250 & 350).

If it's coil sprung (don't remember if they started that on '04 or '05), I think it has 35 spline shafts also.

ya i whant to change the bolt patern so it will work with a 14 bolt and H1's. how you geting that steering?

You use dodge ball joint 60 knuckles with ford kingpin spindles and chev stubshafts, drill the spindles the same pattern as the unit bearing pattern on the knuckles and use the ford outers. The dodge knuckles are spaced out farther from the housing hence the shorter ford spindle with the longer chev stub, bingo! Grind down the shafts a little and super turning radius. One of my buddys just did the same thing on his pro mod using a housing out of a 04 superduty:p
