: Suggest a C6 buggy shifter
Nickm 03-26-2009, 04:18 PM No I didn't search.
Any suggestions for a C6 buggy shifter? Its all stock right now. I don't plan on a reverse valve body either. I want something that I can shift pretty easy. But My wife and kids will drive the buggy also. So I need a dummy proof shifter. This isn't a hardcore buggy, just a family play toy. I am going to need to mount it between the seat in a "console" area.
whadda ya think.
rock-rod 03-26-2009, 08:04 PM art carr or winters. they are dummy proof.
Ak_F250 03-27-2009, 02:06 AM DO NOT get a B&M megashifter. They are junk, ask me how I know...
zdaily 03-27-2009, 07:10 AM Art Carr all the way. Very nice, and you can modify the shifter for quicker shifter between reverse and 1st.

How do you know?
Sorry, always wanted to do that,
I am running some old school B&M shifter, I'll do a little looking & see if they still make it.
wheelin66bronco 03-27-2009, 08:49 AM I love my Winters Shifter (Art Carr). I ordered it directly from Winters in Pa, cheapest and right fromthe MFG.
Nickm 03-27-2009, 03:40 PM Is this the one

I guess $270 is a good price. I am working tonight so I can search for better prices. If this is the one.
brewchief 03-27-2009, 03:46 PM Bronco graveyard lists that shifter for 205$. I ran one in my bronco for years, never had any issues, it saw lots of weather, dirt and sand, still works good, will be going back in soon.
wheelin66bronco 03-27-2009, 03:48 PM No, find the actual winters company. It's less than $270.
This who I called for my shifter.

Nickm 03-27-2009, 03:55 PM Do they use the same part number as art carr? I cant find any part on their web site? If they use the same part number as art carr, Ill just order it using that number. If it the lowest price.
Thanks
Right now this http://broncograveyard.com/bronco/i-21190_art_carr_c6_shifter__for_bronco.htm is the cheapest
wheelin66bronco 03-27-2009, 04:15 PM I honestly don't remember. I just know I called them and ordered it over the phone.
Nickm 03-27-2009, 07:27 PM It seems that like this post has already save me $65. So I think I am going to get the shifter from Bronco graveyard. But I am going to check Ebay right quick.
Thanks
1sicbronconut 03-27-2009, 08:11 PM I/ve also ran the Art Carr/Winters and it's a very good choice. I think I'll try a Lokar on the new buggy build.
TuffF150 03-28-2009, 08:54 AM what lokar you thinkin??
IROK Cherokee 03-28-2009, 04:02 PM Lokar. Way easy to modify the shift gate. IE no lockout between D and R. Plus they bolt to the trans, and no cable....
1sicbronconut 03-28-2009, 08:21 PM what lokar you thinkin??
The model that bolts to the rear of the transmission, I like te idea of a direct linkage instead of a cable. http://www.lokar.com/product-descriptions/tailmount-shifters.htm
