Ok, so I can get all the adapters etc. from Advance Adapter. I have an Atlas II 4.3. So I can go physically from the 4.0 to the 4L60E to the Atlas, no problem. I want to run the tranny full manual shift, line pressure controlled by vacuum.

So here is the problem. My jeep is an 03 Wrangler, auto with the 42rle. I can eliminate the TCU, but still have the ECM that is programmed for the auto. Somehow I need to get rid of the auto programming in the ECU. I need the engine to run correctly, but don't need any transmission control..

So, what to do?

anyway, the 03-06 ECU is programmed by vin # and therefor I'd have to get a manual ecu, but have the vin # too ? I'm not sure why that would matter. To me, If I just got an ECU for an 03 Wrangler with a manual transmission, everything should be fine..

what am I missing?

no idea man...I knew the electronics changed after 03. But I thought it was 05-06 that were wacked.
