Ive posted before but I've been busy with school and work.

I have an 85 K10 pretty much stock burban.

2" lift
33x12.5 BFG AT's
holley carb
EB manifold
10 bolt
Crate 350 with 29,000 miles
Rebuilt tranny
Rebuilt transfercase
Questions:

What is the stock Gears?
What is stock tranny? Th700?
stock transfercase?
Can i put a 10 bolt front and a 12 bolt rear with 4:10s ?
How the hell do i get this truck in 4WD Low? it grinds when i try!

I am looking for an all around stable vehicle for the highway, back and forth to school twice a week and a better than average beach/trail truck.
Obviously there is nothing On LI to talk about as far as trails but I want a functional all around truck that I don't have to worry about going off road on the little trails we do have out here. I recently went wheelin and I was balls to the wall going up a hill, a steep hill but a hill, im guessing due to my gears?

Stock gears are likely either 3:08, 3:43, or 3:73, maybe 4:10. Tranny is either a TH350 or a TH700R4, it is a TH700 if you have overdrive. Stock transfer case is an NP208. To get it into four low put the transmission in nuetral or park.

I had put it in park and neutral and when i do so it grinds real bad I actually have to shut the truck off to get it back into 4WD Hi or 2 WD

Try changing the fluid. It could be low and dirty.
