O.K... I smashed the pan pretty good. It still has normal oil pressure. I changed the oil and put in the 6 quarts needed. My question is, now that the capacity is less; do I still use 6 quarts or less oil till it reads level on the stick??? Right now on the stick it is above the full line.

use less or you will foam up your oil and over heat

Fix it right. Change or repair the pan!

That will be the next step... I gotta run it the way it is for now though.

It is hard to tell how bad the damage is. I say leave it alone. Fill it untill the dipstick says full.

ya, it's about .500 over the full line... I'm going to make it about level or a hair above... DAMN rocks- glad I got a skid on it now after the fact!:D
