i am looking to pick up a YZ 250 . is it true that the 89 ' model was one of the best years that they made.and does anyone know what i should pay for one ,or does anyone know of any YZ 250 for sale....

I doubt the '89 was the best year. Here's why: bike technology changes for the better every year and the old bikes just don't have the suspensionand chassis dynamics of the newer machines. It could have been either the best bike of that year or it could have been one of the best motors ever.

price depends on condition. It's probably worth a least $1000 and might be worth as much as $2000 but for 2k you could get a newer better bike.

hey silly thanks man i know that a newer bike are much better ,but a couple of guys i spoke to told me if i were to get a older one to pick up a 89' no clue man....well anyways i found one 89' in great shape for 1200$ is that a good price?just seeing what is out there
