Going wheelin tomorrow morning. My buddy tells me I'm missing a bolt that holds the transfer case to the crossmemeber.

My truck is 35 miles away, and it's gettin late... Lowes is open until 10pm, and I could get a couple bolts there, but I don't know what size they are. IIRC, they are metric, but I'm not for sure.

The tranny is a chevy th400 with an NP203. I'm 90% sure it came from a 1978 chevy 3/4 ton.

If someone might know what size I'd need, I'd 'preciate it. Save me a ton of time in the morning hunting up a damn bolt... don't want to twist the tranny in half! :D:flipoff2:

Transfer case should not bolt to the crossmember, just the adapter. The case is threaded 3/8" UNC if I recall correctly, should be about 1 1/4" long. I may be wrong, or we may be talking about different bolts though

the bolts that connect the adapter to the crossmember...

1/2 nc 3-1/2-4-1/2"
