Using a 78-79 ford 60. Would a full width kit (BTF) be needed in the front of a YJ? Why would you outboard the springs if it will pretty much allready bolt up?

Using a 78-79 ford 60. Would a full width kit (BTF) be needed in the front of a YJ? Why would you outboard the springs if it will pretty much allready bolt up?

Check the distance between the spring perches on the D60 and on your D30, that should answer your question.

why outboard the springs, my YJ is 31.5 inches to the middle of the springs and my 78 dana 60 is 32 inches to the middle of the spring pad, should bolt right up with a little effort. just bolt it up if you dont like the way it rides outboard the springs or link it.

why not just go grab some weld on perches and make your own like cheepn said. Cuz if CtChevy is right about those measure ments you got 1/2" thats not on a perch.
