Alright, first off, punctuation and complete sentences would help you out a lot on this board.

Your trucke is an 88', it has TBI fuel injection with a dual plane intake manifold. The heads are a swirl port design which is intended for low RPM torque.

Good flowing heads are a plus on any engine, but know that you have to have an intake and exhaust to compliment the capabilities of the heads. That said, I wouldn't put too much in to the stock heads if that is what you plan to use.

You will want to build the engine with high compression for the propane. If you call the guys at gotpropane.com, they will tell you more.

The best propane information can be found here:

Gotpropane was far more interested in selling me a kit than actually offering any useful advice. Of course, I think I made it a little too clear I had no intention of buying one of their kits.

Read up. It's far better if you learn it yourself than I tell you.

My suggestion is for u to find a good engine building shop that does propane and ask them about what u need to build a motor.

yes you need to install hardened valve seats and u should do a 3 angle grind for you to get longevity out of your motor.
I run a 350 built for propane bored 40 over, flat top pistons, and a mild marine cam. To be honest i dont know what power i currently make but i move a 7000lb (on 40s) truck through a t400 around daily just fine . . i do notice its a little underpowered in mountain passes but i plan to compensate with gearing.

If i were trying to make the power your talking about or if i were to do it again i think i would build a propane 383. my 2c

If that is the case, then I retract my statement about punctuation and complete sentences.:grinpimp:
