Well the wife says some thing has to go, and since the XJ is the low man on the totem pole it is up for sale.
Here is a copy of my craigslist ad:
Up for sale is my 1989 Jeep Cherokee XJ. 180,xxx miles. straight 6 4.0L, 4wd, HP30, D35, 3.54 gears, 231 transfer case, automatic.
Vehicle runs good, but could use a little TLC. Body is clean with a little dent in the drivers door and the rear bumber is a little tweaked from a fender bender before I got it.
The following items were replaced since June of last year when I got the vehicle:
New shocks all the way around
New steering stabalizer
New brake master cylinder
New tires all the way around
New brakes front/rear, including new front rotors
New alternator
New t-stat
New radiator overflow bottle
All new radiator, heater hoses
Jeep has aftermarket stereo AM/FM/CD player, aftermarket Grant steering wheel.
Front axle had a bad pinion bearing so the front diff has been gutted and front driveshaft removed (I have all the parts sitting in the garage and will go with the Jeep), there is a small oil leak, and a trans leak that I have never dealt with as it was not bad enough to bother with. Remember this is a 20 year old vehicle. But it runs good and I would have no issue jumping in it right now and driving from Napa to Los Angeles and back.
The pictures are from when I got it the Jeep from my friend, it does NOT need to be trailered at this time.

I will add that is has a clean title and has current tags until Dec. 2009
This would make an EXCELLANT wheeler project if someone is looking for something to turn into a quick wheeler.
It has never been offroad (that I know of) and is a nice starting platform.
