Just be prepared for the "pop" when it comes out. It is heavy enough to hurt fingers, toes, etc. mike 08-31-2002, 01:51 PM Last one I pulled I couldnt budge with a pry bar. So I tried the rag trick and put a thick rag in the diff and turned the pinion with a cheater. Popped right out. pmaddy 08-31-2002, 02:43 PM a long pry bar and a wood block have always worked for me. oldjeep 08-31-2002, 07:18 PM Put it on a pair of jackstands. Put something soft under the pumpkin to catch the carrier. Pick up one side of the axle and bang it down on the jackstand. The carrier will usually fall out after a couple of drops.
