I have a problem with my front right brakes locking up every time I push the pedal. It is a Dana 27 front end and has power brakes. Any ideas?

Those are drum brakes, right? Maybe the wheel cylinders are bad or the adjusters are not working properly. Have you taken them apart to inspect the components?

I took the drums off and everything looked good. The wheel cylinders were dry and the shoes and drums looked reasonably good. I have tried to back the adjusters off but it did't help. I was going to check tonight if the driverside brake was even working. Maybe that is causing the other to lock up?

What did your mastercylinder come off of?? If it came off a vehicle with front disc brakes it is probably supplying too much fluid to the drums

a friend had the same problem, somehow his drums were out of round.

I'm not sure what the master cylinder came out of. I picked this jeep up Friday from a guy that didn't know anything about it. It has a chevy 350 motor with a TH350 trans, a dana 300 transfercase with a 44 in the rear. I have no idea what any of it is from. I did pull the drum back off last night and it appeared to have gummed grease on the drum. I cleaned it off and they worked fine. It sat for five years in this guys garage so it appeared to have leaked into the adjuster hole. Thanks for your ideas.
