Ok, I am installing tracker gears in my sammy, I have a 1600 and the gears are 5.12s. Would these gears be enough with the 1600 to run 35''s on the street? Or do I need lower gears?

I have a 1600 and 33's with just a 4.16 case and its not really enough for the highways, 5th sucks arse. I think with 35's your going to want 5.12's and at least a 4.16 case. The 5.12's would bring you back to stock levels with 33's. I think you'll be burning the clutch off road with that combo.

So what gears would make up for the 35's? So you think even with the 1600 and 5.12s it's still not enough to push the 35's good on the street, as a driver?

Actually, it takes 4.62's to bring you back to stock with 33's. The 5.125's will put you 7% lower than stock with 35's. You will probably have less useable power though. That 7% won't compensate for the much higher inertia of those 35's. The stock tires are light little things and spin up pretty easily. Those 35's are a lot heavier and harder to spin. Don't even think about off-road. You will be stuck as a "poser" :D

if you are going to run 35's just on the street it mite be ok but if you plan on going out wheeling you will break things the last time i went out with stock axels with 35's i broke 3 axels just some food for thought if you plan to whel it with 35's
