: Drag Link Flip, and Track Bar Mount locations???

Ok, so i ordered a "hi-steer" kit for my WJ. It came with a new HD drag link, with 1 ton tie rod ends. The knuckle needs to be reamed out, so the new tie rod end goes on top of the knuckle, instead of below it. It raises the pivot point approximately 3" on the axle. They send me a new weld on track bar mount, that raises the track bar mount on the axle up about 6". I call them up, and i ask, shouldn't this be about 3" lower to match the new position on the knuckle? The tech guy says, " well.. the WJ has an offset location on the pitman arm, and the chassis side track bar mount, so we raised up the axle location of the track bar to keep them parallel. It seemed kinda odd to me, so i said ok. After i get under the jeep yesterday to see what he was talking about, the pitman pivot point, and the track bar pivot point on the chassis side are exactly the same height from the ground... basically sharing the same center line. Which is how i assumed it to be.

Here is the question:

So that would tell me that on the axle end, the pivot points of the new track bar mount should be in the same location (from the ground) as the new pivot point of the drag link on the knuckle right?? Approxamently 3" higher than where it was, not 6" higher right?? Am i missing something here?

I always thought that in order to keep bump steer to a minimum, the pivot points of the track bar and drag links needed to be basically the same height from the ground correct?

I was checking out the kit Poly Performance makes for the JK, that does the exact same thing, and it moves the track bar mount up 3". So i am kinda lost here. Let me know what you guys think.

Here is a picture showing what i am talking about. The new track bar mount is shown as the highest line on the left side, and the drag link to knuckle pivot is the middle line. Shouldn't they both be the same???
