In case anyone cares, hehehehe. Take a close look at the one-off beadlocks. .75" 6061 billet, recessed hex cap screw retainers, bead centering relief, fitted to MRT's. Going away present from my machinist friend, thanks Brian, they rock!

I like the lighter weight, but the class rules at the event required me to shorten it back up. Those pics are are at the near stock wheelbase of 90". Combined with the maf rock catcher shackle reversal, it sucked!

Right this minute it is hanging off a lift rack, the front suspension and steering, bumper and winch, gone. Tomorrow the fun begins, a clean cut and turned housing with fresh bearings will be hung on some 44044 springs. The shackle reversal will be cut off with new front spring hangers mounted as far forward and as hi into the frame as possible. My expectations are another 10" of wheelbase, sprung over and hy steered. All before Tuesday night, so I can prep it for the comp next weekend in Jellico.

Overall the front should look similar to Durhams rig which on the opening page of this site. With the exception of the shape of the frame. Anything that can be cut off, will be.

Might be done tommorrow night, hy steer arms are due, so I can assemble the axle, and a new long travel driveshaft is being built. Also gotta remounnt the winch. I will be there and plan on having fun. I saw your post and the news, Trailkeepers Rock!

Hey Butch, That section there is a place we run thru often. Just never put cones up, just getting thru is challenging enough. We didn't have to get all the way up into the moss, but it was very tight. It was also very wet after near 6" of rain in the days before the event.

Some of the obstacles do have the appearance of WTF! Some can't be done by most participants, and some endup looking worse than they are. A good spotter help take the "impossible" outta the obstacles, and BigDude is a good spotter! Or did Shupee just make him look that way.............

Here's a teaser......

Badlands of Attica IN

That section is part of Mission Impossible, Troy's private off-site trail. It's an "invite only" area, not open to the general public. I was actually surprised to se him use it for the comps, but it IS a great challenge, even without gates/cones!

Mike, we need measurements of those springs!!
