The front is 14" kings, and the back is Ford Aerostar coils.
The toy axle's are from a 81 toy. The front as well as
the rear has been extended 6" each.

(edit) No they are not aerostar coils, He bought them from someone, I will get the info on them

The aerostar stuff was something else.

Thanks, IŽll be waiting....

I like the looks of the compression on that rear spring. I wonder if theyŽll end up taking a set though...

So I guess you hurd wrong, cause when they got here the only trouble we had was how to shut the hood with them installed.

i finally got a hold of the owner
he said that the rear springs came from a place called
Valley Spring, he had to weigh each wheel for valley and they hooked him up for 100 bucks each.
the King's are 14" the springs on them are 200lbs for the bottom
spring and 150lbs for the top, he thinks, he well check.
As far as the questions on how many coils and how big the wire is,
I will have to get him to check that.

PS, am tring to get him signed up as we type.

That's gotta be the highest RTI I've seen on the ZUK board!

IT's good, but not the best:flipoff2: RTI don't mean much anyways. HEy, fabricator do you have any more pics of the link system and/or specs on it. Looks like a decent ride!

I'll take the camara up there one day this week and get them on here b/f we head down to EROCC.

I ain't seen no articulation ramps on the trail either
but, they come in handy when you make a change and get the before and after of it.

I don't have a ramp handy, I use a pile of stumps to test new changes.;)

I did put my rig on a 30* ramp at ZukiMelt this year.... almost hit 1000.

He should have ran the Areostar coils. Here's my buddy's rig. He threw this together in 4 days(the rear suspension) before he took off for school. He definately wasn't expecting this! It was funnier than hell watching his face as it kept on climbing up my ramp!

are there any shocks at all on there...and it looks like he's got unretained uppers???

Is this true?

twistedmetal

In this picture, I don't believe he has the shocks on, yet. That's why he is on my ramp-to locate them. We just didn't think it was going to go that far up so we took this picture. The coils are captured at both ends, but the top mount allows for about 1.5" to 2" of drop to let the coil pivot a bit. He has the shocks on it now, and it didn't affect the ridiculous flex any.
This isn't even his wheeler! He has a Jeep XJ that he will be building after he finds the perfect design on his "test mule!" This thing is cool. It WAS an S-10 Blazer. Chev 350, auto trans, full width Ford axles and suspension. He is going to throw a 3-link on the front when he gets back for Thanksgiving and just use it to learn how to handle a flop better!
