NEW Ballistic Rod Ends

Introducing our newest in high performance suspension, the 4340 Billet Ballistic Rod End delivers the best. Offering nearly 70 degrees of misalignment and a rebuildable bearing race, these joints will outlast the traditional rod end.

Why choose these joints over traditional rod ends?

First and most obvious, these are rebuild-able for only a fraction of the cost of a 1.25" heim. These are machined from billet heat treated 4340. You won't find many mainstream manufacturers that will tell you what their "alloy" rod ends consist of. A lot of manufacturers do not machine from billets, they are finished from forgings, and nearly all of them begin life in China. The Ballistic Rod Ends are a true grease-able joint that is not metal/metal. That means longer life and a quiet joint. We incorporate a 3.5" shank, about 1.25" longer than any heim on the market today. Last, these are 100% made in the USA from USA derived raw product.

-Machined from Billet 4340 pre-treat steel
-100% rebuildable using solid nylatron races
-1.25" shank standard
-9/16" and 5/8" versions available, both with 2.625" mounting width
-+/- 35 degrees of total movement!
-Bearing machined from 4130 then hard chrome plated
-MIL-SPEC grade, in use on prototype military vehicles currently
-100% made in the USA!

In response to the release of the joints, another vendor posted this:

"Anyone can buy the parts to make a rod end, they are pretty easy to come by and you don't need a very expensive special 800 ton press to manufacture them if they screw together."

What they fail to understand is that these are 100% manufactured in-house with strict quality control, as well as add many functional benefits. They responded by releasing yet another China rod end to the market in attempt to regain ground... but at the cost to who? Please, do everyone in our current economy a favor and buy US made product. We too will be releasing another line of pre-manufactured rod ends, these also made in the USA.

One of the major reps of Rod End Supply has flooded us with requests to support thier product line over the past years, as well as to outsource our Ballistic rod ends and joints to them... of course to thier 'reputable' factories in China. We said no thanks and moved on.

Greed has not a thing to do with why US prices are higher and I think we all understand that.

x2 ... i will ALWAYS buy something that was made in the US over something was made elsewhere ... regardless of price.

(except for vehicles ... gotta admit those crazy Europeans can make some nice cars!)

I'm still at the shop working on this, we have a couple hundred of the billet housings made, as well as hundreds of each bearing size. Tomorrow it's on to the spanner nuts and nylatron, and they're out once plating comes back!

Thanks for all of the orders, especially the unexpected pre-orders from the fab shops here on the board! We have over 100 of these going out to builds currently sitting in fab shops just awaiting their new bling..
