For competition, how long is the spotter's vehicle strap and what are you guys using for the strap? Is it adjustable? From what I've seen so far, it looks like maybe a single handled water skiing handle and some(?) nylon rope with a carabiner. I've only competed in S.I.T.R. events where one can't use straps.
But now that I'm planning to win the super crawl event(:D) where one can use straps, it would be nice if someone that has experience with them could clue me in. :)

10' minimum for rrca.
any material that wont break but thick enough to get a deacent grip on.
quick releasing clamp (ie. climbers clevis) on one end and nothing on the other.
give me a call when you get a chance.

toyfamily and I use one of my old ski handles/ropes. We put the handle onto two of the 10' leads, ending up with about 20' of length. we attach it to the buggy via a climbers clevis and a loop we welded into the top-center of the chasis.

oops sorry, just thru ya a pm.
we tried the T handle before but found it got in the way alot for us. Toyfamily had a good point I almost forgot, 2-3 straps make things easier.
