Sorry, nothing I can do about that stipulation. Here's what is posted in the other forum....

Jellico, TN is the first and ONLY town in the world that has a rock crawling obstacle in their downtown.

We built it yesterday so we can use it this Friday at the show & shine. Competitors can set courses for each other and test out their vehicles. If everyone likes it, we will expand it for the series next year. We have tentative approval to make it a permanent fixture in the town square.

The fun officially starts at 3:00.

There will also be a dunking booth......I heard a rumor about Dunk-a-Shupe.

Tell me more, our city is building a skate park in an unused city lot. Also in this lot is a drainage ditch that would be perfect for a 4x4 play ground.

I would like to present this to the city as a play ground for 4x4 owners and an addition to the skate park.

JD,

Sounds like you have a pretty tough sell on that drainage ditch. I don't know anything about the drainage ditch you have in mind, but most drainage ditches are there for a purpose so they probably will be concerned about damage to it.

You would have to give them a pretty good reason to do it because in your case they will probably have to get additional insurance if it will be a "playground" open for anybody, plus they will have to patrol it and maintain it.

In our case, this mini-course is in a parking lot that has gates and it won't be open for general use, just for special events. It was an easy sell because we bring a thousand or so people in to their town four times a year for rockcrawling, and they want more people to come to their downtown and not just stay in a hotel and drive directly out to where the event is at.

Good luck and let me know if you need anymore information.

Tim

... well, you just have to be there to see it. We are going to have some other things for you guys to do so that Shupe won't have BigDude walking around sabotaging everyone's rig. :flipoff2:

We are also going to have a guy from a local radio station walking around and interviewing several of the competitors and spotters, on the air, during the tech inspection. Should be a good time.

Last I heard, Bigdude is going to sabotage Shupes rig.

At the last minute, he's bringing Moose in to spot for him.

You're about to get me started..... But I'll refrain for now.

I will be spotting for SpaceGhost in the legends class. He does well this weekend and he will take the series championship, meaning free Supercrawl entry. Syko is driving my rig, just not sure which class yet.

One other thing.....

GO TROY!!!!
Hope you whoop some ass (I feel better now)

I have an interesting question...

There is a skatepark down the street from my apt. You guys think i would get in trouble for wheeling on it??? I know the skater kids would be down, but what about the cops??
