I am currently debating a trade for a 95 EB Bronco with a 6 inch lift and 35s. I'm excited about getting into something different as I've only had jeeps so far. What should I look out for? What do I need to check out? I am completely new to Broncos so any and all help will be appreciated. I do have some pictures I can email if anyone wants to see anything specific.

I am going to be traveling about 4 hours to first see and trade vehicles, so I'm looking to get as much info and insight ahead of then. Thanks in advance.

what are you trading for it?? Lifted stock broncos have some issues.

TTB brings teh ghey for the most part. Unless you are going to take the time to learn about it and tune it, you will be disappointed with almost every aspect of it. 6" and 35's is kinda tall and under tired for a wheeler, is this going to be a street queen?
35" tires are pushing the limits of the stock front axle as well.

Only way I could see it being worth a trade, is if you want to clean it up and sell it to some dumb shit kid. Could probably get some money for it, if ya found the right person. It would have to be almost perfect though.

The E4OD Transmissions like to die. Watch for signs of that. The factory front seats fall apart as well. The front auto hubs dont work for shit and the electric transfer case motors are seriously allergic to water.

Personally, unless I had plans to swap 75% of the bronco parts out... I wouldnt even consider it.

92/96 frames are notorious for rusting through and cracking near the steering box and RA brackets. Also pay special attention to the engine crossmember and look for cracks at the drop brackets for the TTB. 6" brackets put a lot of stress on it.

Check it thoroughly before you commit.

As others have said 6" of lift and 35's is not a good combo.

 my frame is purdy. i guess thats only cuz its from cali. :flipoff2:

But, i second the crossmember thing. I couldnt stop my TTB from breaking the frame every 4 months or so.

What brand lift is on it?

If it's Skyjacker's Class II kit with extended radius arms (hope that it is, it's the only one that's decent), there shouldn't be much to worry about with the brackets cracking the frame. The big issue with lifted TTBs though is the steering is seldom properly aligned on it unless you use a separate longer drop pitman arm (Skyjacker pt# FA600). The drop arms provided with suspension kits bring the suck, leaving the linkage jacked up at an angle. Plan on buying the above pitman arm for it.

The front axle is a Dana44, so 35" tires are pretty much it's limit. Same goes for the rear 8.8" unless you swap out the stock diff carrier for a Detroit or something, and weld the axle tubes to the pig, then 37s should be OK on it.

What engine does it have? What transmission? What shape is it in? What are you trading for it?
