I was looking to see who had a source for Johny Joints. I did a search, but only came up with hiems... and some other stuff. But no links to any one that carried JJ's.
My project is going way slow... aka not going anywhere, so I am doing some mods on the daily driver to pass the time.
It is a 3 link in the rear, so I am wristing on of the arms, adding f250 shock towers, and a shock to match my travel.
However my arms would still suck, they got defect bushings on the mount to the frame. Just like a bronco.
I would like to hack this off and weld Johny Joints on there, because I think it would bind less.
I dont think there is much side to side movement in the arms, so i dont think I really need anything like hiems. Overkill for this aplication.
Any links would be great.
Otherwise...:flipoff2: thanks.

I would go with the Rubicon Express ones, the have the threaed side nut. After hearing about how dificult it can be to put together and take apart the ones that just have clips, I wouldn't get the cheap ones.

Umm, have you ever messed with the RE ones yet? I just got mine and I am still sitting here banging the plastic peice into the steel sleeve trying to figure out the magic trick! I think the main idea behind the threaded side is to take up slack as the inserts wear. The only thing I really don't like about the RE's is that they can only handle a 9/16ths bolt. I might drill mine out to a 5/8...
Iv'e got a bunch of them, brand new that I didn't use on my project and will sell cheap.

No, haven't actually seen them in person, but they look to be the best. Regardless of what the threaded nut is specifically for, the RE JJ's are the only ones with the threaded nut and zerts(sp?).
9/16th, seems big enough to me. On the RE web site it says that they had their JJ's on one of their rigs for a whole race season, never had to tighten the outer nut at all, said they were as snug as they were at the beginning of the season.
Do yourself a favor and get one that screws together. I got some from currie and they were a bitch to compress together and pop the snap ring into place.
