Twisted Off Road Club!!

Ok ladies and gentleman. Here it is, Kentuckys newest offroad club is here.

Here is a little background:

It all started as a few friends in the lexington, ky area wanted to go offroading every now and then but also wanted to form some kind of club while doing it. There were already a bunch of KY jeep clubs around but we wanted our own. We were a bunch of college guys who wanted to have an organized and fun club to ride in who doesnt care about what kind of rig you have as long as it has four wheel drive and you can drive smart.

Now to the actual club.

The club formed in January 2009 and currently has 12 members. We are looking for more and encourage people to join. This club is open to any rig. You must have seatbelts, minimum liability insurance on your rig, a battery tie down, spare tire and a cb. Dues are $30 for the first year and $25 every year after that. $5 of that money goes towards the Trail Keepers Organization. The rest if for website fees, postage fees, two official club decals and money for a cook out. Those who join after July 1st, will have their dues lowered to $20, but membership is up again December 31st.

The name of the club is called:
T.O.R.C.

It stands for Twisted Off Road Club. We are based out of Kentucky are not limited to wheelin in Kentucky only. Hopefully as the club grows we can start wheelin in some of the bordering states as well as out west. Even though we do have some of the best wheelin this side of the Mississippi

The website is:
www.torcoffroad.com

There is an online forum on the website and anyone is allowed to join and talk it up online. For more information about joining the club please click on "INFO" on the home page. This will take you to out application, liability waiver, by laws and rules and rig requirements.

Our meetings are held the third sunday of every month at Cracker Barrel in Georgetown KY. We meet there around 6:00pm and eat first and then conduct business afterwards. We are usually done around 7:30pm.

Executive Committe:

Brad D. - President
Will M. - Vice President
Angel H. - Treasurer
Willie W. - Secretary
Will B. - Trail Boss
Mitch H. - Club Promoter/Safety Advisor

I hope we have alot of people interested and please post in here. Im excited about getting this up and running. Hopefully we can become one of Kentuckys finest and most mature and responsible off road organizations. Thanks and have a great day!

If you have any questions, please PM me on here, on our club forum or email me at brad@torcoffroad.com

Thanks

Brad
TORC President

I'll have to check you guys out some time. Before joining, I'd like to meet the group first. I have an old beat up 78 Ramcharger. It's stock right now, but soon to have 3/4 ton axles, 4.10 gears, Magnum 5.9 EFI and 40" Ground Hawgs. I'm building it to be mostly a trail runner and mud bogger, nothing serious as far as trails are concerned though. The Dana 44 wouldn't hold up long with those tires.
