Just had to express my joy with some folks who care! Purchased my 9.00X16 XL's and they should arrive first week of Oct (I have a friend bringing them back from CA for me). Also aquired my second set of factory DII flares, so now I can enlarge my wheel wells but keep it "factory" looking. Trying desperately to not lift it anymore, so I'm trying the "trim-n-fit" method first. Now I just have to get some skinny steelies for 'em.

Thats great, maybe in time for the MAR mud fest?

I'll get some picts together once they arrive. Unfortunately (or fortunately for me 'cause of the work required to fit them!) they won't be here in time for MAR. I still have to trim my fenders and make my "special" flares, shorten my sliders, shorten the ends of my front bumper, and shorten the sliders on my rear bumper. Needless to say, it'll be awhile before they are actually on.

Then, I'll have to start thinking about upgraded shafts and new R&P's. Damn, talk about the snowball effect. I will, however, make those bastards fit!

Cool!

Just a friendly peice of advice, think long and hard about what type of offset you NEED to run on those steelies. They are 36in+ and until you see them you do not realize how big they are.

OK guys, you're starting to scare me know. I currently have 33's, and I expect to be able to stretch my wheel wells about 2" each way, giving me 4 additional inches of fore and aft clearance. As far as up travel goes, I think I'll be fine. My only real area of concern will be the firewall/footwells. For those, I'll just have to wait and see.

The wheels will be 7" wide, and stock is 8". The wheels I'm looking at are centered, meaning I'll have 3.5" of backspacing, which will push my tires out about 1.5" beyond stock, but they are skinny tires. You guys forsee any complications? I'm trying to get the right balance between keeping the tires away from my radius arms but not contacting the outer lips of my fenders. Thoughts and suggestions are appreciated.

Naw, can't sell good ole Winston. Besides, then I wouldn't be "pushing the envelope" w/ a DSII. :D

Just hope my envelope doesn't tear and spread my crap everywhere.:)
