And all this time these Rockwell guys were saying that w/o brakes a front was only about 100 lbs more than a D60. Nice to finally get the facts. Thanks Steve :D
Does that 222 lb difference (682- RW vs. 460- D60) seem big to anyone else :eek:

Havent you ever heard the term "heavy chevy"?
Naw, really, its gotta be a brake thing. I cant see Dana producing any different axle for each manufacturer. Im thinking brakes and bracketry.

Dumbass. I'm sure a big part of it is casting difference from Dana. I mean Chevy is standard rotation and Ford is HP, that makes them a different axle for each manufacturer.
