This question might not be hardcore but my rig is. Anyone know if you can run a 15 inch rim on a front 60 with stock brakes? I know I would have to shave the calipers. Would it even be worth it? Any help would help. :homer:

could someone tell me how this is a hardcore jeep thread???

unless you wan't to spend 2 hours on each caliper grinding away then no, don't even bother (unless you wan't to run rediculously low backspacing)

well ep191 I'm putting 44" tires on a stretched (106"wb) 79 CJ5. it has full size front 60 with full hydro and 14B rear, and a SM420 to a dana 300. let me tell you it is hardcore. and when it comes to a question about rim size on a rig like mine it should be in this section. any time you want to bring your POS to the rubicon I would love to see what your rig can do. I bet I would make you look like a bitch. thanks for all the other coments

Yes it can be done you need to grind down the top of the caliper a little.

Did you even try to search? This is covered in the D60 bible, as well as numerous other threads.
