cool brackets ...

A nice addition to your article would be what calipers and rotors you used for people to come who aren't up on all the parts swaps.

I am doing a 14-bolt build up as well, and I found a few sites that give a better listing of parts required.

It looks like you have about 4 places that offer the brackets - Shakerbuilt, TSM, Blackbird Custom Trucks, and this A-Tron place. They all seem to be about the same thickness (3/8"), and are all about the same price ($100). Blackbird offers rotors and calipers for more money in their kits, but you don't really save any money over what you would going to a parts store and getting them all yourself.

Since everyone has great things to say about Shakerbuilt, that's probably the way I will go.

Vova,

Could you do me a favour and measure the gap between the outside of the rotor and the caliper bolt?

Thanks

I read Vova's whole thing again and still see nothing about what calipers and rotors to use ... oh well was just trying to help make things clearer.

QUOTE FROM WEB PAGE
Now that you have clearly identified the axle, the steps below detail the installation process. If you have any questions please E-mail me and I will answer them as quickly as possible. To make things easy for you just get the parts for a front axle from a 1973 Chevy 3/4 ton 4x4 truck. Scroll to the bottom for the Parts numbers for this conversion.
