Cut a new challenge last Saturday at Rok-Park. when the below vids were taken i was playing with tire pressure and it was early sunday morning when the tires and rok were wet and cold. Unfortunately Mer didn't get any successful runs on video, and i didn't carry enough momentum do to being Shell Shocked after just driving out of a roll moments before. but you'll get the idea. I was going for a straight through, full run video hence me telling her to shut off the vid.

It was so hot the day before that i could point and shoot just about anywhere with the Krawlers.... i put quite a few hours on the buggy. i even got the fuel to boil in the tank which shut me down on vapor lock a couple of times. the camera doesn't give the ledges justice... the bottom one is a 4' verticle towards the middle.

Spent the last two days on the backhoe... there now is running water to the base camp. even took a long hot shower to celebrate.

i still need to back fill it. i used 400ft of tubing to tie into the water on the other side of the road.... with nothing left over. its crazy water pressure for gravity feed... helps that there is almost a hundred foot drop.

oh... 400ft of trenching through roots and close trees sucks.

Rok-Park is starting to take shape... stay tuned.

Looks awesome. My gf's mom has >100 acres of similar land with old skidder trails and plenty of rocks up north here

Hopefully I can make it down to check out your place some time :smokin:

where abouts are you? we Rok-Freekz have a network of around 800 acres of private property that we run... and are always willing to trail share for extreme terrain. definately keep an eye out for future runs... if you Wheel 4 Real you'll have a good time.

i cut another new challenge Saturday that i named "Blood Trail". this one you have to use a good bit of throttle to drive out of a sure side hill roll while dropping off a ledge at a 45 degree angle. :D not for the faint of heart.

next on the docket... we're building a few lean-to's to NYS DEC specs... i've got an old NY Conservationist mag from the 60's with "detailed" plans.

Up in the Northern Adirondacks...

Awesome lean-to plans! I know where there are still a few from the 60's that get used on some state land

I drive a full bodied 83 yota so this part might not be cool "...drive out of a sure side hill roll while dropping off a ledge at a 45 degree angle." but I've been known to do stupid stuff on occasion and might re think it if I saw it :D

Here is my truck last year before a bunch of changes and a TINY sample of the rocks on the land up here. There are some serious climbs/ridges and straight up rock faces that I wouldn't try even in a moon buggy, and some I still wouldn't try in my truck without an exo

sorry, don't mean to hijack your thread but you asked :P

That's a pretty good climb.

Also, It's good to see more and more people wearing helmets this year. After hearing of all of the lives lost last year goofing around, I actually starting carrying mine.

sounds like a plan... let me know. May weekends are pretty much busted for me due to work, but June is pretty much wide open.

i don't get over here much so if i don't reply, don't take it the wrong way.

i might be able to round up another rig or two from our core group if it works for you.

Potsdam is only a few hours away.

looking good. I want to check it out. Its all about the bump and wheel speed on the big rocks in the North Country.

Sounds like the park is definitely going to be a cool spot to wheel. I'll be getting a hold of you soon about coming up to the park.
