I have searched and can't find the answer i'm looking for. I found what is said to be a d60(looks like a 60,marked as a 60) from a 99? dodge. I can pick it up for a d44 price because the yard sells them as "front axles", with no price difference in make or model, so, couple hundred bucks. Is there a downfall to these things? I'm not worried about balljoint vs. king pin. Are there any weakness's that I should be worried about compared to fords and chevy's?
EDIT: I won't be running anything bigger than a 38 and it will be on an xj or a scout
EDIT2: I have read the 60 bible and it doesn't cover these axles, only says they are undesirable, I wanna know why
EDIT3: After finding and reading this http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=653085 It seems like this wouldn't be a bad upgrade for the money involved. Can the CAD be manually locked in place for a vehicle that will never see the road?
