TTURokToy 09-04-2002, 03:37 PM I dont know. Must be the picture.
I believe it flexes

I dont know. Must be the picture.Don't worry I was confused myself. I figure it was because I was running empty and the lockouts are about into the bottom spring. Although nothing (other than load) was changed from the two pictures.
elf_cruiser 09-04-2002, 04:43 PM It should flex more than that, you might have a problem...
dirtrod 09-04-2002, 04:48 PM It depends on how tall the guy standing next to that rock is.
i bet if some one where to jump on that rear tire in the air all 4 would be on the ground, it just looks like the body rolled compressing the left rear coil over thus making it look like the front has no flex. now maybe some stiffer rear springs or lighter front springs might have fixed that but who cares? it didnt flip and it looked like he just walked the dog through it.
Keith 09-04-2002, 09:36 PM I can say one thing....My leaf sprung CJ would have nooooo problem keeping all four on the ground, loaded or unloaded.
drnut 09-04-2002, 09:37 PM I really liked that Dodge though!! :D Anybody know him or have seen his truck? I would like some info on it...
Wilson 09-04-2002, 10:25 PM Looks like the passenger front coil "pushed" the body over, my guess would be a liter spring rate in front. It definitely does flex, I've seen the pics during and after the buildup.

One guy pulled the passenger rear down fairly easily. And yep, still walked over it.
Changing springs amy or may not improve things but making it so that this didn't happen in the front when the back tires were on a rock and a hole would alter the quick assumption of spring rates.
Short of some forced articulation I don't think there is an easy or blanket cure. But I'm not too worried about it. I'm still quite pleased with the way this works.
However if someone thinks they know a solution, I'm listening.

Not to belabor this point again, but...Rear sway bar...I do believe that tuning to a point will get you there, but if your RC is off then it's very well worth it.
