I have a huge problem now. Short story long.
I have an 84 CJ7 R D20 F D30 and a donor 72 Wagoner
Plan was to user the 350,t400 and 44 rear out of the wag to make the CJ7 wood worthy. Then later on replace the front 30.

Then some asshole goes and trades me a 94 wrangler for my 84 suburban. Now I have to choose.
The wrangler has
2.5L I4 (150), 123HP
AX5 5 speed, 3.93 1st
NP231, 2.72 lo
Reverse Cut Dana 30
Dana 35c with 4:10 gears

Do I sell the 94 for 5 or 6 k and keep building my 7(including having cash from the Wrangler for 60s
Or sell the 7 and build the Wrangler SOA on 60s from CJ7 cash?

What Would Pirate guys do?

well, if you're gonna sell one to get $$$ to build the other, you can sell the wrangler for more, so sell it and keep the CJ

sell the yj and keep the cj, you'll get more $ out ot the yj and then you can build the cj, they both have the same suspension and ect. for the most part

Whichever has the better frame and body to start off with. I am sure that means the YJ. Although you would most likely get more money from the 94 YJ to put into the CJ. So whichever would be more of a benefit down the road. That is my opinion anyway...

a YJ frame is a far better platform to build off of for the simple reason being that the frame is almost twice as strong, although you dont have a massave power plant and drive train, you plan on swapng that out either way you go, the ole 4-banger is reliable but no V-8, unless the CJ is in immaculate condition i would chose the YJ
