ok since most manfature's sales ppl seem to be more sales orientated than product orientated and are of little to NO help, how the heck do i figure out what coils i need??

front axle weight approx 1600
rear axle weight approx 1200


and that's going to be if we sandbag the thing! as it sit's with 2/3 of the chassis, axles and tires it's under 1k still motor tranny t-cases are 528lbs total...

the thing's going to be closer to 23-2500 max but will need to be 2800 for obvious reasons

what rate coils am i gonna need??

C'mon no one knows???

There are a few other things needed to know before figuring the spring rates.

1. unsprung weight of front axle, tires, wheels
2. unsprung weight of rear axle, tires, wheels
3. desired shock travel at front and rear
4. angles at which the shocks lean in and rearward/forward
5. do you want a single coil at each shock or dual rates?
6. distance between shocks on the same axle and distance from inside of wheel to shock
7. desired wheel travel

With that info, I can get you real close.

Go to www.swayaway.com and look under spring rate calcs. They have a pretty good explanation of how to do things and some diagrams to go along with it
