Good day all,

I'm new to this forum, and need your help!

I have a 1979 Chevy K10 shortbed with a 350-TH350-NP203 with a front 10 bolt and rear 12 bolt with 4 inches of lift.

I want to swap the TH350-NP205 for a TH400 and NP205 fixed yoke from a 1984 GMC K3500 1 ton crew cab, as well as the 1 ton Dana 60 front and 14 bolt Full Floater axles on my truck.

My question is, what exact length rear driveshaft will I have to get for this custom setup? I have the drive shaft from a 78 Chevy K20 3/4 ton truck, that I will have shortened to fit my application, but since the axles will only be installed at the last moment, I do not have precise measures for the rear driveshaft...Can anybody who's done this setup give me exact measures? I will need it from u joint center to u joint center.

Any help will be really appreciated!

It depends. Just measure for it once you get the swap done.
