WTF you talking about?

if you're going to ask a question, ASK IT. None of this cryptic bullshit.

Post a picture of what your talking about. Or at least a direct link. I ain't going to go searching around for what it think you *might* be talking about.

This?

Nope. Go for it and let us know how it works. Looks overly complicated

Unless you're trying to keep the D30.

Find a D44 and just do regular hi-steer like everyone else.

This whole thread is :rainbow:

Goofy steering set ups are a waste of money. Do it right the first time and be done with it.

Holy shit, got tire pressure, look at the drivers rear. There must be a mall near by...

To be fair, the drivers rear probably doesn't have much weight on it since the passenger front is drooping like that. The driver side front OTOH. . .

One thing about that steering. I think it would quicken the steering ratio by the ratio of the distance from the idler arm (their term) pivot to the two link holes. If it's 6" to the first hole and 10" to the second (just a guesstimate to illustrate the point), wouldn't that be 1.6 times as much movement at the knuckle as at the pitman? Even worse would be 5" and 10" or 6" and 12" which would DOUBLE the steering effort (cut the ratio in half). Does that sound right?

ord did a similar setup years ago with much success, but not like that.

What the fuck is that shit right there in that photo?

Spring under - check
Fancy spring plates - check
Thin gauge pressed front bumper - check
Little license plate mount fastener thingies - check
Multiple weird brackets and pivot points with small diameter shafts - check

Fucking gay shit.

Oh yeah, I saw that in the back of a magazine about 10 years ago. Didn't know it had a name, and figured it wouldn't catch on after hanging down like a raccoon forehead smasher and getting beat to the point of unusable.

It would definitely change your steering effort and ratio.

I guess this is too much angle?

It looks like a weak attempt at swing set steering for a solid axle. Not sure why really needed in this app though. maybe to eliminate bumpsteer??

Correct but you could change that ratio to anything you want when you built it. I only see it being usefull for IFS. Other than that it's just more moving parts.:barf:

It sure looks like a complicated way to keep your stock steering arms/knuckles. But at least it isn't a ghetto 'Z' link :flipoff2:

I wouldn't run it -- I'd smash the swing arm bracket into something for sure and be in all kinds of trouble in no time.

that's crazy! that last pic should be posted to every new guy that say's "what should i do" and let them try and figure it out.i know quite a bit of shit, but still havn't attempted a link set up yet.i wouldn't even consider tryin to build that thing, plus i don't have 4 grand to spend on tube and ends
