I'm going to have to build a table for a abrasive chop saw and was going to incorporate a tube rack above it so I can just move the tube to the table, cut it and then set it back on the rack. It'll run the length of the wall so it will be 24' or more long and 7-8' tall overall. Anyone built one like this for their shop?

I'll also have to build a large metal table to work on, just something around a 4'x8' or so, anyone have cool ideas of things they built into one?

Just so I have something to contribute for now until I can get mine started here is a link to really a nice pivoting, telescoping saw table. http://www.millerwelds.com/resources/communities/mboard/showthread.php?t=12730

I may build one like this but I think I'd rather have it mounted solidly so I don't have to move it around. I'm sure someone here can use the idea for their shop.

If you think you'll tend to be lazy and leave pieces on the rollers, try to find a conveyor with mutiple rows of rollers (ie dual rows or more). Otherwise, when you have more than one piece on the conveyor and try to push it, the others tend to move with it. A multiple roller system would allow you to roll them independently without having a hail storm of tubing coming at your saw. Not necessary, but would make it less of a hassle.

Mine doesn't have rollers but I have a very small space to work with so it moves outside when I need to work.

And as you can see it quickly gets filled up with stuff. I use it also as a rolling work station, and quickly realized I needed another work bench.

Here is a link to my chop saw bench. I have to say it has been one of the best things I have built. No more cutting off the floor :)
