Does anyone know where I could get either a template or CAD program for comp cut?

I run a CNC plasma machine at work, so I'd like to be able to make my own, since I can get the material for free, or very close to free. If nothing else a template would be nice so that I can make my cuts on the body straight and even.

Thanks

Does anyone have any pointers or pics on how to relocate the rear body mount on a cj when installing comp cut fenders.

Why do you need to relocate the rear body mount. In most cases if not all when installing comp cut corners your not cutting a way the inner tub portion.

these guys need to realize this isnt hardcore section, this is the place for questions to go without all the bullshit........what everyone is trying to say is that the rear body mount "box" wil stay in tact, just cut a bit shy of it so basically cut the rear about 1 inch or so, whatever your comfortable with, outward of the mount and you should be ok. since your a CNC man, the hardest part will be getting the curves you draw on your tub to match up on the CAD. Being a CNC machinist/programmer i totally feel your pain. just take your time, check it twice, make it once.

I have the poison spyder comp corners and you have to move the rear body mounts in. To install I will be cutting away the portion of the rear body that the mounts are attached to.

I have a wood CNC so this suggestion might not work.

What if you got a line art file someplace and loaded it up in a CAD program, then designed it there. Or even imported a pict and did a ray trace of the rear portion you wanted to comp cut.

Course if you wanted to bend it around the back of the jeep you would have to do some 3D design work.
